Ramadan in Village - August 23, 2009

Ramadan has started. It's only the 2nd day and I have learned several things:
Kéméni turns into a ghost town during Ramadan.
I now know the French and Arabic words for 'to fast.'
I would hate to be a Muslim farmer during Ramadan and rainy season.
In other Muslim news, I bought a sheep last week for Tabaski. I have
4 months to fatten the woolly creature up. I have told my homologue to feed him lots of Moringa.
